EU hrozí protiopatřeními v reakci na americká cla, Trump je otevřený jednání

BRUSEL/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Evropská unie v pondělí obvinila USA z bránění snahám o uzavření obchodní dohody a varovala před protiopatřeními, pokud nedojde k dohodě, která by zabránila zavedení represivních cel, jimiž prezident Donald Trump pohrozil od 1. srpna.

Trump mezitím uvedl, že je otevřen dalším diskusím s EU a dalšími obchodními partnery předtím, než příští měsíc vstoupí v platnost nová 30% cla, a že představitelé EU přijedou do Spojených států na jednání.

„Chtějí uzavřít jinou dohodu a my jsme vždy otevřeni jednání, včetně jednání s Evropou,“ řekl novinářům v Oválné pracovně. „Vlastně už sem jedou. Chtějí jednat.“

Trump v sobotu eskaloval obchodní válku a oznámil, že příští měsíc uvalí 30% clo na většinu dovozů z EU a Mexika, poté co podobná varování vyslal i dalším zemím, včetně asijských ekonomických velmocí Japonska a Jižní Koreje.
