Высокопоставленный представитель КНДР в пятницу, 1 июня, посетит Белый дом США, чтобы передать Дональду Трампу письмо от Ким Чен Ына, способствуя скорейшему проведению встречи глав государств.

Президент США рассчитывает встретиться с лидером КНДР 12 июня в Сингапуре, чтобы убедить его отказаться от ядерного арсенала, хотя предполагает, что для этого может потребоваться несколько раундов переговоров. 

Делегацию КНДР возглавил Ким Ён Чхоль, который входит в близкое окружение Ким Чен Ына. На данный момент неизвестно, примет ли его Трамп в Овальном кабинете.

Также нет сведений о содержании письма северокорейского лидера, однако сам факт говорит о прогрессе в подготовке встречи глав государств. Напомним, ранее Трамп отменил переговоры с КНДР из-за «враждебности Пхеньяна» и попросил Ким Чен Ына позвонить или написать ему, если он передумает.

Делегация КНДР посетит Белый дом США впервые с 2000 года.
