ЕЦБ отказался от планов повышения ключевой ставки

Европейский центральный банк (ЕЦБ) опубликовал заявление, согласно которому процентная ставка рефинансирования останется без изменений как минимум до конца 2019 года. Предыдущий прогноз предполагал сохранение нулевой ставки только до конца лета 2019 года.

ЕЦБ отложил на неопределенный срок ужесточение монетарной политики, это означает, что замедление экономического роста в еврозоне затянулось и превзошло прогнозы аналитиков регулятора.

Предыдущий прогноз ЕЦБ предполагал повышение процентной ставки в любой момент с сентября 2019 года. Однако после публикации экономических показателей Германии и Италии за четвертый квартал 2018 года и слабых результатов в начале текущего, ужесточение монетарной политики кажется преждевременной мерой.

С одной стороны, председатель ЕЦБ Марио Драги и его команда намерены завершить программу сверхмягкой монетарной политики, которая была введена для поддержки единой европейской валюты. С другой стороны, европейскому регулятору необходимо предпринимать меры, чтобы возобновить замедляющийся экономический рост.
