Текущую неделю доллар США начал с резкого падения, после того как Федеральная резервная система США неожиданно снизила процентную ставку на 50 пунктов, а также запустила стимулирующую программу количественного смягчения.

Это уже второе экстренное снижение базовой ставки по кредитам американского центробанка за последние две недели, и теперь она составляет 0-0,25%.  Чиновники ФРС также сообщили о запуске программы количественного смягчения объемом $700 млрд.

По состоянию на 17:00 мск, индекс доллара США, показывающий его силу относительно шести ведущих мировых валют снизился на 0,94%, до 97,970 пункта.
