In an interview with CNBC, Fed Vice Chairman Stanley Fischer anticipates the central bank for a two-time increase of rates. Fischer said that the two rate hikes appeared to be “about right”. The Federal Reserve mentioned on its meeting on March that they suppose the funds rate will reach 1.4 percent as 2017 ends. While traders learned another financial company, CME Group, have decided to place a raise of interest twice for this year. The 73-year old Fed official further mentioned that they kept an eye towards the administration of Donald Trump, assuring that the White House have an impact regarding the ongoing activity within the economy as well on the Board’s actions in the near future. He added that his concerns about the growing issues of protectionism since the improved economic integration brought a positive effect to the US and other countries after the World War II. Moreover, the term of Fischer as the vice chairman will end on June 2018 stating that he considers staying with the central bank being the governor.
