The correction in the Russian market continues for the fifth day. There is a decrease in both the afternoon and evening sessions: the Moscow Stock Exchange index is losing more than 2%, and shares of many companies are declining by 2%+. The Russian market has already lost more than 10% in a month. Among the reasons: expectations of a tough monetary policy, the dividend season and weak reports. At least two crypto exchanges are planned to be created in Russia: in Moscow and in St. Petersburg. The main purpose of these exchanges is to support foreign economic activity. They will work within the framework of the experimental legal regime. First of all, the largest companies will have access to these exchanges in order to facilitate cross-border payments. However, the functionality of exchanges may be limited due to the risks associated with sanctions. Kamala Harris has officially announced her intention to run for President of the United States. The current vice president made this statement at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. In her 40-minute speech, she only briefly touched on the conflict in Ukraine, but assured that she would continue to actively support Ukraine and Israel. Representatives of the bank clarified that the project will not be a marketplace in the traditional sense, but will serve as a platform for online sales of goods. The project has been under development since December 2023. The IMF recommends that global regulators develop their own blockchain-based payment systems. According to the organization's experts, this will help solve the problems of insufficient regulation of cryptocurrencies and increase the transparency of the banking system.
