BANGKOK (Reuters) – Hyperkonkurence v čínském odvětví elektromobilů se přelívá na jeho největší asijský trh, Thajsko, kde menší hráči bojují o přežití v konkurenci dominantní společnosti BYD (SZ:002594), což ohrožuje ambiciózní místní výrobní plány.

Neta, jedna z prvních čínských značek elektromobilů, která v roce 2022 vstoupila na thajský trh, je příkladem automobilky, která se potýká s obtížemi při plnění požadavků náročného vládního programu pobídek zaměřeného na podporu výroby elektromobilů v Thajsku.

V rámci tohoto programu jsou automobilky osvobozeny od dovozních cel, ale jsou povinny do roku 2024 vyrovnat objem dovozu s domácí výrobou.
