По состоянию на 17:30 МСК курс турецкой лиры относительно доллара США снизился на 5.45%, до отметки 6.1291.

Турецкая лира снова падает, поскольку инвесторы обеспокоены из-за предупреждения властей США о введении новых экономических санкциях против Турции, если Анкара не передаст Вашингтону американского пастора Эндрю Брансона.

С начала текущего года лира потеряла примерно 40% стоимости относительно доллара США, а разногласия между странами ускоряют снижение курса национальной валюты.

Изначально ослабление лиры было вызвано беспокойством инвесторов из-за чрезмерного влияния президента Турции Реджепа Эрдогана на денежно-кредитную политику страны, а в дальнейшем подкреплено введением взаимных пошлин между США и Турцией.
