Investoři Chevronu zamítli návrhy akcionářů, zatímco Exxon žádné neobdržel

Akcionáři Chevronu ve středu na výroční valné hromadě amerického ropného producenta zamítli tři návrhy akcionářů, včetně návrhu požadujícího zprávu o dodržování lidských práv ve společnosti, zatímco větší konkurent Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) poprvé za několik desetiletí nedostal žádné návrhy od investorů.

V letošním roce bylo předloženo méně návrhů týkajících se environmentálních, sociálních a správních otázek (ESG) než v letech 2024 a 2023, a to kvůli malému zájmu investorů o takové návrhy. Nižší než očekávané výnosy z projektů v oblasti obnovitelných zdrojů energie také přesunuly pozornost akcionářů zpět k ropě a plynu.

Investoři společnosti Chevron (NYSE:CVX) zamítli usnesení, které by umožnilo držitelům alespoň 10 % kmenových akcií společnosti svolat mimořádné valné hromady. Podle předběžných výsledků hlasování ze středy také zamítli návrh na vypracování zprávy o tom, zda investice společnosti do obnovitelných zdrojů energie mohou vést k tzv. uvízlým aktivům, tedy projektům, které předčasně ztrácejí hodnotu.

Také ve středu se na výroční valné hromadě společnosti Exxon poprvé od roku 1958 neobjevil žádný návrh akcionářů, který by splňoval podmínky pro hlasování.
