Президент США Дональд Трамп планирует ввести в отношении Ирана жесткие санкции, но при этом надеется заключить с Тегераном новую, «хорошую», сделку.

Д. Трамп на выступлении в штате Индиана заявил, что США не должны позволить Ирану располагать ядерным оружием. Согласно проекту нового соглашения, американским специалистам должен быть открыт доступ на военные базы и ядерные объекты страны.

Президент считает, что предыдущая сделка, заключенная экс-главой США Бараком Обамой, была «катастрофической», поскольку позволила Ирану «вплотную подобраться» к ядерному оружию.

По мнению Д. Трампа, прежнее соглашение подарило властям Ирана $150 млрд, которые они могут направить на дестабилизацию ситуации на Ближнем Востоке.

Ранее, 8 мая, президент США объявил о выходе американской стороны из ядерной сделки с Ираном и возобновлении санкций в отношении Тегерана, поскольку Иран продолжает разработку ядерного оружия и производство обогащенного урана.

В 2015 году США, Великобритания, Германия, Франция, Китай и Россия отменили действующие экономические санкции в отношении Тегерана в обмен на гарантии мирного характера ядерной программы страны.
