«Доу Джонс»: Ведущий китайский производитель смартфонов Xiaomi Corp. намерен стать публичной компанией и планирует провести первичное предложение акций (IPO).

Инвестиционные банки, работающие над организацией IPO Xiaomi, озвучивают приблизительную оценку свыше $100 млрд. Таким образом, IPO может стать крупнейшим в Китае, после того как Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. была оценена в $169 млрд в 2014 году.

В 2014 году Xiaomi был одним из самых дорогих стартапов в мире стоимостью $46 млрд, однако впоследствии компания уступила лидерство конкурентам, которые больше средств инвестировали в рекламу своей продукции. В 2017 году компания вернула себе утраченные позиции.

За организацию IPO для Xiaomi борются более 10 западных и китайских банков. На данный момент компания склоняется к размещению бумаг на гонконгской фондовой бирже, поскольку инвесторы в Гонконге знакомы с продукцией Xiaomi, а глава компании миллиардер Лэй Цзюнь имеет большое влияние в Китае, его сравнивают с основателем Apple Стивом Джобсом.
