Председатель Еврокомиссии Жан-Клод Юнкер заявил, что попытки Трампа разделить страны ЕС своей торговой политикой обречены на неудачу. 

25 июля глава ЕК посетит Белый дом, чтобы обсудить с президентом США ситуацию с торговыми пошлинами между странами.

Юнкер намерен убедить Трампа в том, что Евросоюз невозможно разделить никакими действиями со стороны США. 

Между США и ЕС возникли напряженные отношения после того, как Вашингтон ввел дополнительные пошлины на импорт европейской стали и алюминия, а ЕС ввел ответные пошлины в размере 25% на американские товары.
