The main factor for the market remains geopolitics. A meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky will take place in Washington today, which may also be attended by European leaders. The talks are expected to focus on resolving the conflict with Russia. Trump said that the war could end quickly if Kiev renounced its claims to Crimea and plans to join NATO. «Zelensky can stop the war almost immediately if he wants to, or continue fighting,» he wrote on Truth Social. The American president also noted «great progress» following recent talks with Vladimir Putin and added that he did not yet see the need to impose new sanctions against Russia.
