The American Nvidia Corp. invests $5 billion in rival Intel Corp. to jointly develop processors for personal computers and data centers (data centers). Nvidia will acquire Intel shares at a price of $23.28 apiece, whereas the day before they closed at $24.9. In the premarket, Intel's securities jumped by 29%, Nvidia – by 2.9%. Under the terms of the agreement, Intel will create specialized chips for integration into Nvidia's AI platforms and the development of PC solutions. The contract does not provide for the use of Intel's capacities for the production of Nvidia chips. Earlier it became known that the United States acquired a 10% stake in Intel, which underlines its strategic importance.
