However, this does not mean full agreement with Beijing, as key contradictions between the countries remain. The border dispute remains a source of tension. The line of actual control in the Himalayas has not been demarcated, which led to armed clashes in Eastern Ladakh in 2020. Later, a mutual withdrawal of troops began, achieved through negotiations.
