Gold price resumed falling

The price of gold resumed its decline after the morning corrective growth. The current quotation of the asset is $1.899.90 per troy ounce.

In the morning, the price of gold rose within the correction to the level of $1.917.25. By the evening, the precious metal returned to decline again, as investors focused on the talks on stimulating the US economy. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin continue to discuss the amount of the economic support package. Pelosi said yesterday that there is progress in the talks and a decision could be made soon.

Also the focus of the markets is the presidential race in the United States. The final debate between incumbent US President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden ended on Thursday. During the debate, the candidates emphasized the difference in their approaches to resolving the issues discussed, but did not provide new information that could provoke a reaction in the markets.
