Kolik výdajů na obranu bude pocházet z nového závazku NATO ve výši 5 %?

Nově přijatý závazek NATO zvýšit výdaje na obranu do roku 2035 na 5 % hrubého domácího produktu (HDP) podle BTIG Research téměř zdvojnásobí roční výdaje celé aliance na 3,0 biliony dolarů.

Tento závazek, který byl formalizován na summitu NATO v Haagu v roce 2025, se rozděluje na 3,5 % na „základní obranu“, včetně personálu, operací a údržby a vojenského vybavení, a 1,5 % na infrastrukturu a průmyslovou expanzi.

Všechny členské státy s výjimkou Španělska s tímto závazkem souhlasily. Očekává se, že Spojené státy tento závazek nesplní, protože prezident Donald Trump tvrdí, že příspěvky USA již přesahují spravedlivý podíl.

V roce 2024 členské státy NATO společně vynaložily na obranu 1,5 bilionu dolarů, což představuje 2,7 % HDP. Dvě třetiny této částky poskytly USA, následované Německem a Spojeným královstvím.
