Mitsubishi Motors plánuje zadat výrobu elektromobilů tchajwanské společnosti Foxconn

Japonská společnost Mitsubishi Motors, mladší partner Nissanu Motor, plánuje zadat výrobu elektromobilů tchajwanskému smluvnímu výrobci elektroniky Foxconn, informovala ve čtvrtek agentura Kyodo News.

Prostřednictvím této spolupráce chce Mitsubishi Motors snížit výrobní náklady a zkrátit dobu vývoje své produktové řady, zatímco Foxconn, oficiálně známý jako Hon Hai Precision Industry, doufá, že ji využije jako opěrný bod pro spolupráci na elektrických vozidlech s Nissanem a Hondou, uvedlo Kyodo.

Navrhovaná fúze mezi Nissanem, největším akcionářem Mitsubishi Motors, a Hondou minulý měsíc padla a zdroje agentuře Reuters sdělily, že Nissan je otevřen spolupráci s novými partnery, včetně Foxconnu.

Mitsubishi Motors diskutuje s firmami Honda a Nissan o vývoji softwaru pro elektromobily, uvedla společnost Kyodo.

Spojení bude oznámeno do konce března, uvedlo Kyodo.
