Microsoft upravuje plán vývoje čipů pro AI a omezuje návrhy do roku 2028 – The Information

Společnost Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) podle zprávy serveru The Information reviduje svůj plán vývoje interně vyvinutých čipů pro servery s umělou inteligencí a do roku 2028 se zaměří na méně ambiciózní návrhy.

Omezením některých návrhů a prodloužením časového harmonogramu pro další čipy pro umělou inteligenci, které jsou již ve vývoji, chce Microsoft zjednodušit proces vývoje. Společnost doufá, že tyto čipy, jejichž uvedení na trh je plánováno na příští tři roky, zůstanou konkurenceschopné vůči čipům pro umělou inteligenci společnosti NASDAQ:NVDA.

Vedení společnosti Microsoft informovalo o těchto nových plánech tým zabývající se vývojem čipů během schůzky, která se konala minulý týden. Toto rozhodnutí navazuje na dřívější odložení uvedení nejnovější generace čipů pro umělou inteligenci Maia 200, jehož uvedení na trh bylo posunuto z roku 2025 na rok 2026.
