Tesla vstupuje na indický trh s drahým modelem Y za 70 000 dolarů kvůli vysokým clům

MUMBAI (Reuters) – Tesla v úterý uvedla na indický trh model Y za přibližně 70 000 dolarů, což je nejvyšší cena na hlavních trzích. Americký výrobce automobilů, který se potýká se zpomalením prodeje, sází na vyhlídky v zemi, kterou generální ředitel Elon Musk dlouhodobě kritizuje za vysoká dovozní cla.

S dodávkami, které by měly začít ve třetím čtvrtletí, se Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) zaměřuje na segment elektromobilů v Indii, který představuje pouze 4 % celkových prodejů na třetím největším automobilovém trhu světa.

Bude konkurovat hlavně německým luxusním gigantům, jako jsou BMW (ETR:BMWG) a Mercedes-Benz (OTC:MBGAF), spíše než domácím výrobcům elektromobilů pro masový trh, jako jsou Tata Motors (NYSE:TTM) a Mahindra.

Tesla v úterý otevřela svůj první showroom v Bombaji a začala přijímat objednávky na Model Y na svých webových stránkách, čímž vstoupila na dlouho očekávaný trh, kde Musk kdysi plánoval otevřít továrnu.
