Великобритания может столкнуться с дефицитом импортного продовольствия после Brexit

Представители Британского консорциума розничной торговли (BRC) предупреждают, что выход Великобритании из состава Евросоюза может привести к сбоям в поставках импортного продовольствия и других товаров. Причиной этому послужит ужесточение таможенного контроля между странами ЕС и Британией.

Решением данной проблемы BRC считает выделение дополнительного финансирования для инвестиций в развитие и совершенствование инфраструктуры транспортной системы страны. Более того, британские власти должны обновить таможенное соглашение с Европейским союзом, а также заключить ряд соглашений в сферах транзитных грузовых перевозок, безопасности, налогообложения и нескольких других областях, касающихся осуществления импортно-экспортной торговли. Это позволит избежать различных бюрократических проволочек при оформлении документов в портах и доках. 

Если Великобритания не успеет заключить все необходимые соглашения до завершения Brexit, это может привести к серьезным задержкам поставок продуктов и других необходимых товаров ежедневного пользования. На данный момент около 79% от всего объема импорта продовольствия приходится именно на ЕС.
