В Беларуси физлицам разрешили покупать иностранную валюту без паспорта

29 мая президент Белоруссии Александр Лукашенко подписал законопроект, разрешающий физическим лицам приобретать иностранную валюту в обменных пунктах без необходимости идентификации личности. Пресс-служба президента пояснила, что отмена паспортного контроля со стороны коммерческих банков в стране способствует упрощению осуществления валютно-обменных операций для граждан. Однако для покупки крупных сумм меры по проверке паспортных данных остаются в силе. 

Ранее, в октябре 2011 года, в республике Беларусь было введено в действие обязательное предъявление паспорта при покупке валюты. Этот же год обернулся для страны валютным и финансово-экономическим кризисом, приведшим к росту инфляции,  дефицита валюты и периодически возникающих локальных кризисов на потребительских рынках. Перед правительством встала задача максимально минимизировать спрос на иностранную валюту и выйти на равновесный курс белорусского рубля. Сегодняшняя ситуация на валютном рынке значительно улучшилась, и необходимость в ужесточении мер валютного оборота отпала. Новый указ Лукашенко вступит в силу после его официальной публикации.
