Рейтер: США могут ввести санкции против нефтяного сектора Венесуэлы после выборов в национальное учредительное собрание страны.

Обсуждаемые санкции подразумевают запрет на поставки венесуэльской нефти в Соединенные Штаты, но также могут включать запрет на продажу легкой нефти в Венесуэлу. Кроме того, возможно введение персональных санкций против высокопоставленных чиновников страны. 

Проект санкций находится на стадии обсуждения. Ранее Никки Хейли, постпред США в ООН, заявила, что выборы в национальное учредительное собрание Венесуэлы являются  фиктивными и ведут к диктатуре.

Выборы в национальное учредительное собрание инициированы президентом страны Николасом Мадуро. Оппозиция не признает законность выборов. В Венесуэле 4 месяца подряд проходят массовые протесты, в которых погибло более 100 человек.
