Агентство «Доу Джонс» сообщило, что Билл Гейтс, легендарный американский предприниматель и основатель компании Microsoft Corporation, в 1 полугодии 2017 года передал своему благотворительному фонду 64 млн акций и продал еще 16 млн. 

Когда Microsoft стала публичной акционерной компанией, Гейтс владел 49% пакетом. За прошлый год он продал 31 млн акций, а за 2 последних года 84 млн акций передал благотворительному фонду. Таким образом, сейчас создатель компании владеет всего 103 млн акций компании, или 1,3%.
